FN squeeky springs

Anyone have a problem with squeeky springs on the FN142 doors? The bottom left door on mine kinda sticks a little and the springs make an awful noise when compressed. Think I could oil them a bit to help the noise and sticking? What type of oil could I use that's chinny safe?

I have a carrier that had that problem. You can try olive oil. That seems to work. Or maybe even a little veggie oil.

Food grade silicone spray lubricant. The same stuff used in food processing plants for their machinery. And its USDA approved for use around food products, so it is non-toxic. I sprayed some in the joints and wiped off the excess really well. Make sure not to get it near anything rubber, because it will deteriorate it. It sucks the natural oils out of rubber.
