I have searched and cannot seem to find anyone who makes bridges. I see everyone recommends Camphor Chins squiggle bridge and I would love one but they have been out forever. Does anyone else make them? Has anyone used those large bendable fiddlesticks to make a bridge? Any other ideas?

Christine, any pics? I figured if anyone could, it would be you;)! Let me know if your willing to give it a go. Rustic, like their cabins, which by the way, I can't keep still waiting for knowing they will be here next week! LOL.

I'm on a different computer but will look on the old geezer and see if I still have the log one. It's the only one I took a picture of. This was maybe 3 years ago? It's on there somewhere, cause I just seen it like a week or two ago!

Ronda has done a few, she'll put any type of wood in it that she has in stock. You just have to tell her how much and how long. Her site is rondaschins.com

Of course she's on vacation for a few weeks and Christine makes some wicked awesome toys, I can just picture a gilded bridge with all the danglies! :D

I've used the fiddlesticks to make strange shelves of sorts and bolted them to the side of a cage with a screw and a washer. You could probably make a bridge out of them.

Thanks spoof! I did search all the vendors, but came up empty except for Camphor, so I thought I'd ask the question.

Christine, let me know what you find! You know where to reach me. Always a pleasure to work with you!

If you're at all inclined.. make them yourself! I made bridges years ago when I had my store, they were fun to put together! Probably the first one to make them, I sold quite a few of them, both pine plank and whirly style.

I bought mine through user name "Ashley" on here. I don't know if she still comes on the forum. The one I have is a suspension bridge but she made other types, too.

Thanks...will check it out. Nope, not inclined to do it myself! I am way too impatient with myself for this kind of stuff. I'll leave it to the awesome, creative people here!

I visited Whimsey's just today for supplies. I'm looking for a more rustic looking bridge without spaces between the logs. I really don't want it suspended either but your right, if that's your style, Whimsey has some awesome stuff!

Just wanted to mention that no matter how pretty those bridges that are they are not chinchilla safe. I have seen and heard of, many chinchillas get a leg caught between the slats and end up breaking the leg. It's not worth it to take the chance just to have something pretty in the cage. I highly recommend the "Squiggle Bridge" from Camphor Chins. It's solid so they can't get their legs caught between slats and it's very pretty.

Hanging bridges are ok as long as there are no spacer beads. The slats have to be tightly against each other to keep them from moving around too much (to keep a toe from getting pinched).

Essentia thanks so much for the information ,I didn't realize they were a danger but I can definitely see why now. Thank you

I think that's a great idea. Don Ciccio loves his fiddle sticks and the spacing is nice and tight for a bridge. I'm a bit of a tinkerer so I am going get another set and attach them together and hang them with eye hooks.

I agree, those bridges are not safe.

The safest 'bridge' you can buy are the squiggle bridges from camphor chins. They mount the cage on 3 sides so there is no risk of your chin getting a foot stuck. They're still fun to bend into whatever shape you want :)

I thought the spacer beads actually kept them from pinching their little toes?

And I thought the spacer beads made spaces between the wooden planks that are too small for a chin to get his/her entire leg stuck.

I am disappointed, I was going to try to make one of these.
