    Chinchilla play pen?

It's not ruining, it's Chillaizing things. just have lots of alternate choices to chew and shoo them away for undesirable. I let my pair full access to my room on my days off. Always make sure and leave chewies in all their hiding places. Heck I have cats and chins, so one expects certain...

Hey from a new Chin mom!

Just got a shipment fro AZChins, Susan is a great supplier, quick response and shipping, threw in some bonus treats also. Bea was like loving all the wood toys, treats, and rosehips. Fae found hers too. The Baby is just a wee bit more skittish than her older sister, but progressing nicely...

New chin is too smart and quick for me

I just let Sampson in, my 4 year old Savannah, Him and Bea love to play catch me if you can. Sometimes Sam loose track where Bea has gone, so she'll jump and run past him so that he can give chase. After about a half hour, Bea finally joins her little sister in the cage. I usually let the...

Hey from a new Chin mom!

Welcome and congrats on you new baby. I just moved in a bonded sister pair of chillas, and they are adapting quite well. Lots to learn, but have the advantage of being a day sleeper, so the sisters and I get to spend a lot of time together, along with my other animals.

While chillas may be prey, my Pride are bird hunters, and not interested in rodents for food, they are beneath their dignity, but a humming bird, pheasant or even an eagle, they will stalk and attack. Bea, Fae and Sam, resting after some exciting play. Appreciate your concern and all...

    Chinchillas and Cats

Have 2 Savannahs and a domestic cat. The ladies don't want anything to do with my paired sister chillas, but the boy Savannah thinks they are great fun. He likes to play spank the chin, and the chillas tend to chase him too. Think Sampson got an eyeful yesterday, because all of a sudden he...

    Chinchilla Jungle Gym

That does look nice, and gives me ideas. I put a ramp from the top cage to my bed, the oldest, 8 months, likes to jump from the upper level onto the ramp so that she can slide onto my bed. She then scampers back up to the top level to leap off again. Pictured is my 9 week old baby Fae, her 8...

That's actually a Savannah, and he's quite good with the sisters. They will chase him almost as much. Rodents aren't on my Pride's menu interests, now if it was a chicken, pheasants or turkey, yeah, we'd be seeing some serious wild side action. My female Savannah, Spot, doesn't want...

Hi, just dived in head first into the world of chinchillas. Just brought home a full sister pair, Beatrice born 9/29/13, and her baby Sister Fae Rae, born 4/13/14. Was searching on chin care and found this site and decided to join. Only have had them since Friday, but they are settling in...
