What is something they used to make or have when you were young but no longer have?

Two of mine are cereals!

Rice Krispies with the little marshmallows
Alphabet's cereal with the marshmallows

Another thing I like, and they still have, but are harder to find at Toffay candies.

They still have both of those Nicole. The alphabet's you can get right down the street here at the little grocery store, and the RKWM I've seen at Wal-Mart. Maybe it's just regional.

I know they still make them, I just don't see them out here, Mallocups! I LOVED those things growing up and I can only find them online now!

The candy called "Bonkers" It was such a big deal when I was little :)

Keebler's "Magic Middle" mini cookies - I swear they were addicting! I'd buy out the store, every time!

Oh, Tunes! Mallocups! My Mother loved those and I never really did until I was a little older (like in my late teens). I forgot all about those. My Mother would save the points that came on the cardboard in the wrapper and then she'd get a free Mallocup after saving so many points. Thanks for the memory.

I miss the original Polly Pockets and Littliest PetShop toys. The really tiny ones. Ya know, before kids started choking on them and sticking them up their noses.

Lol, I loved those darn polly pockets! I miss being able to get away with eating all the marshmallows! At the mall of america, they had (maybe still do?) a cereal land that you could buy a bag of just the lucky charm marshmallows. I was so happy and would eat one every day that I worked there. Lol guess it was a good thing all those bars closed- but such a waste, the whole top floor is empty!

Does anybody remember S&H green stamps? They gave them at the grocery store according to your purchase amount. You saved them up then went to the S&H store downtown and got things for free if you had enough. I was really young, like 7 and my gramma gave me a bunch so I could get my Mom something for her birthday. I was excited and said something stupid to my mom as the employee loaded it into the truck, "I hope it doesn't say clock on the box!" Grrr there goes the surprise.

Are you Afraid of the Dark was a-m-a-z-i-n-g

ummm I have a little list...

I miss the origional Wanda Sugar Shack (only Milford CT people will understand)
Wawa's (possibly also a Milford thing)
The origional "All That"-Repair man man man man man man.....and Saggan Baggan Barry were my favorites!!!

And I miss the Worm lights...those worms with night caps and big plastic heads that would light up...favorite thing when I was a kid <3

Holy cow! I remember those, too, but forgot about them. My Mom saved them and it was my 'job' to lick them and put them in the books. That is so cute that you said "I hope it doesn't say 'clock' on the box".

I'm not the only one! What is up with these six incher Polly Pockets? You used to fit her house, her pets and herself in your pocket..now I think you're lucky if you can get her head in.

I think LPS is getting stupid now. I had a nice old english sheepdog with puppies that came with their bed, food and water bowls, and a bone. Now you get a sparkly magenta Chinese Crested that comes with its own purse to carry it in.

I miss puzzles. I feel like puzzles are losing momentum. We used to have this girl in my second grade class who was a complete jigsaw puzzle whiz. We would all bring in puzzles from home to see how fast she could do them during lunch time.

Babysitter's Club books...love to hate them. Now books are over when there are 5 in a series and it's considered long...BSC had about 300 books.

Peggy! I'll have to see if we still have M. cups at work. We had a pretty big display of them at one point....

Cabbage Patch Dolls! I loved them. The old version of Barbie--she just looks scary now!!

I agree about the Polly Pockets. When they came back out I was like what the heck, these aren't Polly Pockets! You can't even fit them in your pocket anymore. Geez, why keep the name if the idea is different? And the original Littlest Pet shops were awesome, I had tons of them. I think they always ruin things the second time around.

What I really miss is this local place we used to go to as kids. It was called Shakey's and was kind of like Chuck-E Cheese, only better. They had these awesome twisted fried things with sugar and cinnamon on the outside. I loved them. We would bring in our report cards and get so many tokens for A's. It's no longer around and hasn't been for years, be we always went there.

I also used to have a stuffed PuffaLump as a kid. When I have kids, I'm getting them those.

ETA: oh! And those Fisher Price Little people. Now they make them big so kids don't choke. I don't get it, if we all survived, why did they change everything. At the rate we're going, our kid's kids are going to live in bubbles..

I had a hampster in a hampster cage and you used a magnet wand to move it around. The hampster was the size of a large jellybean.

And I read EVERY single one of them. I still have the movie on vhs. Booya! LoL

Haha! Yeah, I had one that had ducks with a little wand that you could make them swim around on this pond.

Hmm.. I wonder if we still have them somewhere?

LOL! I just watched the BSC movie on "On Demand" the other day. I think my favorite part is how Stacy's diabetes interferes with her developing love life....second only to Mary-Ann's father allowing them to have a kids camp in their backyard. What parent in their right mind would allow that?
