Hey everyone. I have two male chinchillas, Loki and Apollo. Loki is 3 years old and Apollo is 4-5. They don't like each other much so they both live separately in their own huge FN cage each.
Originally we got a chinchilla off Craigslist who unfortunately didn't live long despite our best efforts. I still miss Hermes very much. We've had Apollo for about 3 years, also from Craigslist from an owner who was surrendering him due to a move. We got Loki as a baby from a breeder, and have had him for about 2.5 years.
Apollo is certainly the dignified one of the pair. He often sits on his haunches staring at the outside world. During playtime he is very curious but respectful of our walls and stuff. Loki on the other hand totally lives up to his name-- very wild and chews on everything, but he does thoroughly enjoy his scritches under the chin. So cute.
I joined CnH because Loki has had some health problems of late that I wanted your guys' advice on. I've posted to the health section and am just waiting for moderators to approve my post.
Nice to meet y'all!
