Woody Hibiscus Branch Safe For Chinchillas?

Hi, to keep it short and simple, i was wondering if a hibiscus branch is safe for chinchillas? it's grown in my garden so i was wondering if i could just snip off a good branch, soak it in hot water for about 5 minutes then leave it out to sun till dry, then use it as an accessory in my chinchillas' cages. Also, are hibiscus flowers okay to feed fresh? Or must they be dried? Thanks!

i know you can use dried hibiscus but i'm not sure about fresh, sorry!
