Wood Shelves?

I was wondering...you know how you have to prepare wood before giving it to the chins...

so you have to do the boards you buy from the lumber yard to make shelves out of too?

If you go and purchase kiln-dried pine, or any other safe wood from a store or company, you shouldn't have to prepare it.

Tiffany is exactly right! I've found that my chins don't like the knotholes, so I look for the boards that have them near the edge, and use them on the outside - seems they last longer! Others have said their chins go right for the knots - I guess it depends if your chins are knotty or not!! [?]
