Wow - Seriously, what went through this woman's head??

"In December, a man who jumped into the same enclosure also survived..."

It happened more than once?! Jeeze, they should really put up a sign or something to warn people they are wild animals and not something they can go cuddle with.

Well, the article did say they had to go over a fence, moat, and hedge to get into the enclosure. If they're that determined...I'm not sure a sign warning people they're not cuddly is going to deter people....

I'd LOVE to know what these people were thinking. Well, I guess the article does say - the man said he was "lonely." :CSarcasm: Yes, because when I'm lonely, the first thing I think of is jumping into a polar bear enclosure.

I think people are stupid! Just like that tiger/lion that had to be shot because the kid hopped his enclosure and he got out chasing the kid.....hmmmm, do you not think a GIANT carnivore will go...yum, lunch!

Sounds like a very odd suicide attempt to me. I mean, people have got to know that these giant bears just MAY be dangerous, and they just MIGHT want to take a chomp at a human. And you know, these bears just might be the proud owners of humongous, very sharp teeth.

Darwinism at it's finest... let the polar bears weed out the morons.

I think that when we hear about something like this, we have to assume that these people have severe mental problems. I don't think that these people are 'stupid'... they have something seriously wrong with them and need help.

Was she on drugs or something? Who in their right mind would climb into a polar bear enclosure if it was not a suicide attempt.

Really? I have not heard of someone who had severe mental problems jumping fences. Usually it is a punk teen or someone just not using their head....

Wow, just wow. The worst part is this wasn't an isolated incident... You would think with all the crazies out there who go into animal enclosures the zoos would put up electric fences to protect the animals from these nuts.

Look at her face...she is obviosly mentally ill by her odd smile. She has no idea she is about to be a snack. "Pretty Bear"

Hmm. I was taught that anything with teeth *can* bite, and that when I disrespect it, I deserve to be bitten. Sheena Queen of the Jungle here apparently *missed* that lesson.

Poor bears, getting barged in on by uninvited tourists all the time.

I think they shouldve let the bear eat her..

I hate how they use the term "MAULING." She attacked them by entering their home. If someone enters my home without permission they will be lucky to only leave with a couple of bites. If you watch the video as they are trying to pull her out the bear looks like he is grabbing her and lifting her our of the water. He looks like he was kicking her out!

Courtney I will have to agree with you about Darwinism at its best.

On top of that, she's wearing dark clothing - isn't walrus one of their favorite foods??
