Ok, so I saw a pic of a wilson white and fell in love. I have two female chins at the moment and set my limit at 3 so I really want to find a wilson white to add. However I have been searching for weeks and have came across a few, but they were on craigslist or hoobly, and they were all MALE :( so I started to wonder if it was something with that color that they are more likely to be male than female or am I just having horrible luck finding one?

It has nothing to do with the colour.
I have a wilson white female here, it all depends.

Mosiacs are Wilson whites. if you are just looking for Wilson white that may be why. I find I have the same number of white males as white females born. I just tend to keep the females and sell the males

I believe the average pet owner thinks of a Wilson White as a predominently white chin with dark eyes and ears. If that's what you're looking for I would contact several breeders in your area and have them let you know when one becomes available.

EDIT: those are pretty specific markings that you're looking for so be prepared that you may need to wait awhile. Breeders please correct me if I'm wrong; I don't believe that those markings are something that are specifically bred for, but rather show up by chance like any other mosaic pattern?

I was not aware that Wilson white was a mosaic. I thought they were there own color since a few websites had them listed seperate from the mosaic category. Learn something new everyday. Yes I am just an average pet owner, so i was going by all the pics and descriptions I saw of a white chin with dark ears. I'm not in any hurry so i can definitely wait for the right chin. Thanks for your help

No one breeds for predominantly whites that I know of, they are chancy. Most breeders that even bother breeding for certain patterns on whites are breeding for "extreme" mosaics.
