Why is my chinchilla scratching?

My chinchilla scratches behind his ears a few times a day. He's acting normal. Is it normal for him to scratch his ears?

Are they dry? How many dust baths a week?

Like any other animal, chinchillas itch every now and then. I wouldn't worry about it unless the chin is doing a lot of scratching and the skin looks irritated.
