I believe it's the same as pine. If I remember correctly, all the pine at my Lowe's is called whitewood.

Yeah, this was at Lowe's. They had Yellow Pine and Whitewood. *shrugs* I dunno. That's why I figured I'd ask here before buying.

Hahahaha thanks! It's like half the price of the Yellow Pine, too. According to Wiki, white wood is Spruce, which is a type of pine anyway. Keith can't wait to do redecorating. :rofl: He's a goof...

Tell him to send some of that redecorating motivation to my boyfriend..he's told me about 10 times he'll help make ledges but I have yet to see it! :impatient:

Haha I think the motivation of "Lipped shelves will keep the mess in" is greatly helping with the motivation. But then tonight he was trying to figure out where to put the corner house for the girls... :hmm:

My Lowe's calls it whitewood too lol. I sat there and kept asking the workers, "Now are you sure that this is pine?" I didn't want to get the wrong wood... My husband made our shelves for our chins. I made him do it. Haha...

i just bought wood this weekend too. i went to home depot though.

And Stacie............I reward my fiance' for making ledges and houses & stuff. Which he is supposed to be making me ledges and a house tonight!! thats double reward.
