Is anyone else on here as excited as I am? I loved this book when I was smaller and now read it to the children that I often watch. They love it. I can't wait to see it! I might even take my bff with. lol. Not that he would ever sit through it:err:

I can't wait to it too! I loved the book as a kid. I wish my little sister hadn't destroyed my copy of it.

I watched a behind the scenes preview. It looks like the producer is going to work really closely with the author of the book so it should be pretty dead on. Me and a large group of friends (Even if we are too old :p) are going to go see it the day it comes out. We aren't even going to take any children. lol

I want to see this, it looks so perfectly done. The only complaint so far I have, is they changed the monsters' names. In the book they are not named, but the author had named them after aunts and uncles of his. I wish they kept the author's original names.

Have any of you seen it yet? I won't spoil it but if you have children, think twice about bringing them. It is rated PG but it is not so much a movie for children as it is a movie about childhood. If I were a child, I would have been kind of bored. Children wouldn't recognize that each one of the "wild things" can be attributed to a different type of child. There is also a wild thing that has a temper and I would think it might scare some children.

That being said, it was a very cute movie. I think it may be one of those movies that get better each time you see it.
