When life gangs up on you...

Sorry guys I haven't been around much.

Things were going great for a while, my husband was working local and home every night, we were enjoying life with our friends and enjoying simple things like feeding out chickens spaghetti ( it's actually quiet hilarious ). Then boom the poo hit the fan as they say.

Our good friend was diagnosed with a rare cancer at 24. Two weeks ago he died of blood infection leaving a young wife (22), a beautiful daughter (2), and a son on the way. Just a baby in the world and already a widow.

Starting school for nursing, good and exciting but worried about stress that comes with it, then today my husband got the call to go back out on the road. I'm so sad and lonely. Why does it all gang up on us?! Just when you think things are going great too.

Life certainly has it's ups and downs, doesn't it? Hang in there. You are taking good steps to improve your life (nursing school). It'll be tough but you can do it. At least your husband has a job!! So many people are without. I wish I lived near you. I'd buy eggs from you.

Anyway, hang here with us. We'll carry you through this hard time.

Nicole, that's awesome you're going to nursing school! Congrats! It will be hard with hubby on the road, but you can do it. Hopefully with mom nearby she can help with the girls when you need it.

At least you had some time with him home, that was nice for a while, and hopefully he'll get to be local again soon. As Carol said though, right now, at least he has a job and a good income. So even though it sucks he's gone, it's good that he's working.

Wow, I'm sorry about your friend, that's really sad. It does suck when everything piles on at once. Sending good thoughts your way. Good luck with school and everything else.
