wheel question

ok so my chin lives downstairs because its cooler and i live on the middle flooor. even from here i can here her bouncing around in her cage :hair: i hear the age for a chinchilla to get a wheel if 6 months and mines only about 3 months and 2 weeks but shes reaalllllyyy energenic i have a cage just like the fn

Chinchillas shouldn't have a wheel until 6 months. We have young chins too, and yeah, they're energetic, but they would spend too much of their energy on a wheel. That energy and calories need to be used to help the chin grow, rather than expended on a wheel. Just wait until she's 6 months old and then get the wheel, she'll be fine with waiting.

Problem with young ones is, they are dumb and do dumb things and a wheel is just one more thing the dummies can get hurt on.
