What's YOUR chin's favorite treat?

The only food treats my boys get are half a shredded wheat, cheerio, pinch of rolled oats or a rosehip. They also love finger traps, pumice, willow toys and anything wood. Food treats are given once a day and toy treats are given whenever they are running low.

My babies Rock!
Crash into Me: a pellet of the Equine Senior sample that Ronda sent. (He gets maybe 2/mo.) His more common "GIMMEE!" treat is half a shreddie.
Champagne Supernova: Half a shreddie.
Could You Be Love: Pettins (he's not really food motivated until he's had his love), then a rose hip.
They all three go a little bonkers for orchard grass, and Nova and YouBe are just as excited for loose timothy hay as anything else since their breeder didn't feed it daily. They're still getting used to the routine of being spoiled rotten pets.

Gizmo LOVES oats...he knows the word "oats" more than he knows his own name.
he also likes chinnie flower salad from Crysta (essentia). and hay cubes!
and you can never go wrong with wood chews. even though theyre not "food treats", chins still see it as a treat. actually...feed them a pellet by hand and they'll think its a treat!

pink rose buds, crushed rosehips, dried hibiscus flowers.. neither one of my girls will eat a cheerio or shredded wheat

Rex: his chunk of a 'chinchilla cookie', mint, rolled oats, and his various types of wood, especially willow, and his newer favorite is loofah. When he was on the unhealthy streak, his favorite was banana chips D;
Penelope: Alfalfa hay, oats, she seems to like the bitty bagels, apple sticks, grapevine, and occasionally rose hips, but if you feed her a couple one month you gotta wait two until she's ready for some more. However her most definite favorite is any kind of flower that is okay for them to eat, meaning rose buds, hibiscus, dandelion we got a sample pack with some of those in it and she went ballistic.
Manami, Allora, and Habiki: REALLY enjay apple wood, don't really like the other stuff that is on Penelope's wood toy, and they like loofah, and hay. But I suppose that is expected. :]
They've never tried pumice, just for the simple fact I've been cheap and haven't ordered anything I wasn't sure they would like. They've also never had shreddies, they'll eat cheerio's but won't necessarily come begging back for more, unless if it's the grain kind.

The pumice stones I ordered for Nietzsche came last week, and while he seemed pretty stoked about them, I noticed that he stopped touching them about the day after.

Anytime I've ever tried this my chin sniffs it, looks at me disapprovingly and then whacks it out of my hand!
Snoops: likes me to hold the rosebud container down for him so he can stick his nose in there and pick out his own, then scamper away!
Dre: loves oats and anything willow
Chicken: he is still too young for treats but he loves his apple sticks!
Ham: definitely loves the mixture of chinchilla herbs(QMC) the best
Sadie rabbit: I am still getting to know what her favorites are, but pumice and oats seem to get her really excited

My boys dont seem to chew on pumice, I got the colored flavored ones to string on their toys and they lick them! But they do love loofah

Mine loveeeeeees rolled oats, I had one with them once, and I'm thinking....."it tastes like nothing......there's no flavor in it whatsoever, hard to understand why they stick their noses out so far for them when I take out the bag

All three are bonkers for cheerios and the apple twiglets we just got from CnH! They love all kinds of wood actually. Sometimes I give them pellets from my hand as treats too-which sometimes they take and sometimes they get mad about. And they like to noms the rosehips.

Chichi loves just about anything- except rose hips. She hates rose hips. Her fav wood is applewood by far. She loves oats and the rare chinny cookie.
Kits can't have treats but they LOVE twigs/sticks
