What's the point? Gov't stupidity

City of Miramar Commissioner Fitzroy Salesman was removed from office by the governer of Florida when he pulled his gun on another customer at a grocery store Nov 2007. He's supposed to go to trial Monday, and running again for office March 2nd I think it said. What's the point in them removing him, if he can just run again. Shouldn't he have to wait till he's aquited? Oh, this was the second time he was removed from office, and if convicted and appealed, the 3rd special ellection just because of him.

Gotta Love Miramar! Its times like this Im glad I moved away from there! This is actually the first I am hearing about this. Moving away is keeping me out of the loop!

Mom worked there for forever so my ears perk at this, but the first time was running from the police at a DUI check point, they chased him, and when they finally got to his house he did a "Do you know who I am?". They said yes, arrested him, but never did a breathalizer I think. He was aquited, and got his seat back. Don't know how. And now this. You would think they would have to wait to re-run, or be convicted before removal. Especially in this economy, the tax payers shouldn't have to pay for all these special elections.
