I like the fly saucer but i dont have the biggest cage in the world...
It would dominate the entire bottom of the cage
What are some good alternatives?

There really was no need to start a whole new thread for this. You could have just posted this question in the thread about a wheel you started 30 minutes ago...

Chin Spins are pretty nice & they are indestructible. I have several that are in my trio/colony cages. I'm not sure how much they are ... I got mine years ago.

I wouldn't get a flying saucer unless you want to take up tons of space. Your cage isn't that huge. Chin spins are just fine and are very sturdy, but that's just my two cents. :)

Hmm maybe ill do that... My wheel already dominates the bottom of the cage and so he pretty much just plays around up top
Ill have to put both into consideration i just heard that the chin spin will hurt his back :(

Everyone always says that the wheels are terrible because they make there backs go wierd... If thats not the case ill just keep my wheel because his feet cant get through the holes anyway

like Ash just said, a 15 inch chin spin won't hurt his back but the wheel you have now could hurt his back and could also cause him to get his legs caught or could cause other injuries so I would get rid of it regardless

Ok how could a chin spin not hurt his back but my wheel will? Im extremely confused.
Wheels hurt their backs because it forces them to bend unnaturally doesnt it?

I think you're getting confused on the wheels.

Chin Spins and Flying Saucers are made large enough for a chinchilla to fit inside of comfortable and stretch out when running because they are at least 15" in diameter.

The wheel you have can hurt a chinchilla because while he is running his toes can get caught in the mesh, his tail can get caught in the bar that goes across the middle and it is only 12" which is too small for him to comfortably stretch out when running. All 12" wheels have this problem with not being wide enough for the chin to spread out when running.
