I have let my chinny out to play and usually she sticks to the sides of the room and would get under something and play there before laying down under it for awhile. Yesterday I let her out after I had blocked off the area that she gets under (It's too hard to get her back out) and she would run around the edges of the room but she would run across the middle too. The thing is when she would, she would jump real high as she was running. I assume she was getting some good playing in. :dance3:
But when she was just standing there she would make this sound. All I can describe it as is a hiccup-like sound. What is this and why was she doing it?

could have been the contact sound, which they make when they are either looking for something or are content. Whenever i make a feeble attempt, lol, at the contact sound, my Rhino will come running to me :))

here's a great site for figuring out what sound your chin is making: http://www.chinchilla-sounds.de/index_en.htm

the running jump....... sounds like she was trying to wall surf without the wall, lol!

Oh good. I figured she was enjoying. The noise perplexed me though.
