They'll have that flying through the air in no time. I use a 9x12 pyrex type glass baking pan which can be gotten inexpensively at a thrift store. I myself use a thick bed of good hay as litter because we get it for $5 a bale. It is the same hay in their hay rack

I use the pyrex baking dish as well. It's got some weight, so it stays in place nicely. I used to use a (non-disposable) metal baking pan, but the urine really corrodes it after a time. The pyrex is easy to clean.

My chinchilla goes the bathroom infront of her waterbottle (it's not the bottle leaking i checked) so do i just put that dish infront of it ? like will it block her from drinking water or will she get in it to drink her water ?

If the spout of the bottle is high enough, she'll just sit in the litter pan to drink. Mine like to sit in their litter once in a while...to chew a toy or something. It's a good idea to put the pan where she likes to pee. Also, when you're first setting it up, put a little bit of some pee-soiled shavings in so it smells right, and she might get the idea faster.

No chin is perfect with the litter box 100% of the time, but they do help.

I use a glass pyrex dish for litter pans. I bought a small loaf shape one and kept that under Wesley's water bottle as his bottle tended to drip from time and time and he would litter there. I now have fleece in the cage which catches the occassional drip and Wesley does not pee there anymore--he uses the litter pan I have set in the back for him.

I started with the aluminum disposable pans, but they chewed on them.

I then tried the 8" square aluminum cake pan; urine DOES corrode them quickly.

Finally, I got the Pyrex baking dish. Heavy, non-chewable and really much easier to clean.
