What to do with this feed ?

Hello All,
I feed Mazuri, With my last adoption, I had received 2 - 3 pound bags (1 bag Kaytee forti-diet CRUNCH with dental bites) the other bag, (Nutriphase Gold Chinchilla Formula)-(I have had this feed for approx 3 months now) I changed them over a two week period to Mazuri (I did not like all of the "Treats" included in these "Chin Diets" - Should I take them out to the woods and feed them to wildlife ? Hate to waste them

Do you have any animal shelters nearby that take in small animals? They're often quite appreciative for anything like that. If not, you may as well toss it.

The shelter that would be closest to me that takes in small animals would be the the Dallas SPCA. Too far for me.(I do not drive in downtown Dallas) Ellis County only takes in dogs and cats . I guess my Grandson and I can take the feed to the woods .....
Next thing you will hear on the news is an overpopulation of rodents in Ellis County Texas !

I throw feed like that down on my compost heap and the wild animals and cattle eat it. The wild animals seem to like it, hopefully it won't cause them any problems.

We only have an acre of property, However, behind us is quite a dense wooded area - Think I will put the feed out there for the many rabbits and squirrels - Happy Thanksgiving to them !

I would dump it outside, the problem with giving it away on craigslist is some poor sap will buy that crap to feed their chinchilla...

I agree with 'Starleomach' - you don't want to give it to someone else who might think it is good for chins. - dump it outside. The wild rabbits and squirels will love it.

Problem solved, My husband took the feed with him to east Texas today (where his parents live) - They have many deer on their property - Yummy for them ! Smiles, Grace
