She has a chinchilla and it tries to get out of the cage when she cleans. What can she do so it won't be able to get out? The arrow I have is the wooden part where she jumps down from and gets out. She can not take that out since her uncle wants it there. Hes not a big fan of the ball and he might try to escape in it. http://i.imgur.com/WZsh9ON.jpg?1

Why not invest in a travel cage, and put the chin in that during cleaning?

Dont use those balls for chins. Chins overheat in them way too easily, and it can be fatal.

Your friend might also benefit from setting up an account on this forum and having a chat with some of the folks here. There is a lot of great information on chin care and solutions to problems such as this one.

For example: The large amount of plastic in the cage and putting a chinchilla in a ball to run around can both be fatal (ball = overheating = death; plastic + chewing = impaction (and if not treated, sometimes even when treated) = death)

Do u mean cat carriers? And how do I put chinchilla inside the carrier? What's a good way since he's VERY energetic and fast? I'm worried he might escape in the middle of him getting inside of it, do I need to pick him up by hand or stick the carrier in front of the entrance door? How should I put him in ur and close it without him jumping out of it? Also he bites and a bit agressive

Is it your chin or the friends? You said it's a friends... but then said you don't know how you would do that. ?

Easiest option, get a better chin safer cage that's easier to clean.
