What kind've glue?

I want to make some chinnie toys with my dad. What would ou recommend to glue wood together (not harmful) and what type of wood would you recommend? thanks

from my research the Elmer's wood glue is safe. but if you are making hanging toys why not just use stainless steel wire to string the toy pieces together?

I was thinkin of also making wooden toys (not hanging ones)

If by wooden toys you mean tunnels and house, beds, etc.

Then Elmers School Glue or Elmers wood glue are both safe.
