Today after cleaning my chinchilla's cage,I noticed her poops look diffrent.some look very circular and feel squishy and others have weird shapes but are still squish/soft. I've read it could be if too many treats ans about 3 days ago I ran out of hay and I had to give her old hay and a few cheerios

Old Hay is better than no hay. Only give 1 cheerio as a treat.

You don't need to give Cheerios and a few is too many, especially if that constitutes a change from the normal diet routine for the chin. Its likely the change in hay that caused the change in consistency in the droppings. Old hay is fine as long as it isn't moldy and can be used until you get in the hay your chin is used to.

It very well could be the change in diet. I would be sure to keep an eye though. Feed the old hay (as mentioned, so long as it isn't moldy) until you can get fresh...and if after the fresh hay the poops aren't better or get worse in the meantime...there is reason for concern.
