I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!
I had made a thread before about an apartment that we looked at and how much we liked it, though it was a little small. Well, the landlord said our references were immaculate, but that he had decided to rent to someone else because he heard us discussing how we were going to fit everything in the apartment. He said he felt that the place was just too small for us to be completely comfortable but that if anything larger came available he would let us know. Well, he emailed me about a month ago and told me he had a large one bedroom coming available (possibly) and he would let me know if we were still interested.
IT CAME AVAILABLE! It's beautiful! All hardwood and tile, the exact historical neighborhood we wanted to be in, fully fenced back yard (it may be time to get a doggy!), washer & dryer included, very pet friendly, and electric, water and garbage included in the rent. While $795 would have been too high for us before we had chins, our electric bill was $360 last month, so the apartment may very well save us money in the long run. He knows about the chins and is very interested in meeting them. I also told him that we needed to keep the apartment at 70 degrees for the chins, and he also said that was fine (just wanted to give him a head's up on the electric bill).
ACK! I am sooooooooooo excited!!!!!!! We have lived in this crappy mobile home for way too long and I am so happy we were able to find exactly what we wanted even though the price is a little higher than we wanted to initially go. To get a landlord who is actually amazing is worth it. Also, he works in tile and floors and his partner is an electrician. Talk about the right people to rent from.
Without further ado, here are some pictures. These are the ones from the landlord, so they aren't the best but it gives you an idea. We will be moving in September 16th and I can't wait!
