Anyone remember the original We Are The World??? Face we all already know I'm 30/17 so I definitely remember the first one. I just viewed via Hulu the remake and really enjoyed it. Someone tell me why Barbra Streisand and Enrique haven't ever done a duet before? They sounded great together. I'm not sure what the whole hoopla is over this Justin Bieber kid is and why he started it off, but I found myself tearing up while watching the whole video. quite the compilation of great artists: Barbra Streisand, Josh Groban, Mary J Blige, Enrique Englesias, Bebe Winans, Miley Cyrus, Janet & Michael doing a duet, Celine Dion, Fergie, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Levine, Pink, TONY BENNETT! L L Cool J's rap was HOT and I don't like rap (but I love me some L L Cool J!) I saw the Jonas Brothers in the crowd, Jeff Bridges, Toni Braxton, think I saw Faith Hill but no Tim McGraw, also think Tommy Hilfiger was in there too.

Anyone else seen it yet and what do you think? Better than the first or not as good?

I still like the first one better, but this one was okay too. Wycleff Jean was HORRID with his screeching (almost ruined the whole thing for me) and the opening kid did nothing for me, but I loved the light rap in it. That really brought it up to date and they did a great job.

I'm really glad they found a way to put MJ in it. It's great that he was remembered.

I totally agree with the duet with Michael and Janet as well as just Michael in it. He was a driving force behind this song the first time it was created. Also great to see Lionel Ritchie there with Celion Dion. Yes Wyclef what the flip were you doing? My favorite of the bunch--hands down the always classy, more talent than any female singer in the entire world (yes Beyonce I am talking to you) Barbra Streisand. Babs you are the greatest!

I really liked this new version. I loved almost everyone. Jennifer Hudson always amazes me with how strong and effortless she can sing.

I didn't recognize many of the singers. I guess I live under a rock. There were a few performers that I could have done without. I did like LL Cool J.

I didn't see the Jonas Brothers, and I don't know the original, but it's always great to see such various artists come together for stuff like this. From Snoop Dogg to Sugarland to Celine Dion to Pink it's such a wide array, and it's great.

I do remember the first version, which I really liked. This version was good, too, a nice variation from the first, but there were parts that made me cringe. Who ever that screacher dude was who couldn't sing at all...I'm not sure why he was in the song! But I really liked how many artists got involved for the remake.

Here's the original with main singers identified.

In the chorus I also saw:

Bette Midler, the Pointer Sisters, John Oates, Dan Aykroyd, the Jackson Five, Latoya Jackson, Lindsey Buckingham and Jeffrey Osborne

Wyclef Jean, who was born in Haiti is one of the producers in this new version and is also singing in Haitian Creole. It threw it off a bit but I can see and hear the pain and passion in his voice. I saw a few reports on him as he headed to Haiti after the earthquake and he was sobbing so uncontrollably that it was making me tear up just watching him. I did like this 2nd version as well. I loved Jennifer Hudson and Josh Groban and the rap at the end. I watched both versions with my girls, obviously they enjoyed the newer version better but I liked them both the same.

We also bought the remake to REM's Everybody Hurts (Helping Haiti). I really liked that one too but I haven't found a video for it, just the song.

I liked it. I thought it was a nice mix of artists and its well put together. Barbara Streisand was awesome. I thought the Bieber kid sounds better here than what I've heard of him in the past.

Wyclef Jean did not fit well. I understand why he's there as he's done a lot of stuff trying to help Haitians long before the earthquake and certainly after and the Creole is a nice touch, but his vocals (especially the towards the beginning) don't really go and just aren't something I like.

Sandi there was video for the Simon Cowell's remake of REM's Everybody Hurts. I'll see if I can find it for you. I loved that one as well, but then again it have Susan Boyle in it and I adore her!!!

Definitely the first one. Bob Dylan, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Bette Middler, Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson, Ray Charles, Lionel Richie, Harry Belafonte, Tina Turner, Paul Simon and on and on and on. It doesn't get any better than that. At least for someone my age, I suppose.

Any chance to see Steve Perry and hear him sing, even if it's a snippet, is awesome in my book. Ray Charles, Michael Jackson. I miss those guys. There are some people in that video that are irreplacable. I don't even like Bruce Springsteen, and you are just sucked in by his voice.

The second one was good, and their intent is wonderful, but it just doesn't compare to the first one for me. Not even with as much as I love Babs, and I could listen to her sing all day long. The opening can't even compare to Lionel Richie and Stevie Wonder though. Their voices just bring back so many good memories. :)

there is someone in the newer video a guy that I don't know but he has an amazing voice. Near the begining 2 minutes in right after jennifer hudson. I think he is with the sugarland chick
