Hello everyone,
So first of all a quick update from the last time. The chin that we rescued, Charley, is doing great! He has adjusted well to his new family and loves our company. Any time we reach into his cage he runs to greet us and gets upset if we don't pet him. I will hopefully have pictures of him and his cage of right when we rescued him and h right now.

Now here is the new news.
Me and Becca, my girlfriend, were heading to our local pet shop in the flea market to pick up some for all of our little friends, the owner of the pet shop recognises us, us being there every weekend to pick up something, and says she needs to talk to us. She tells us there was a guy there that morning trying to get rid of his chinchilla and he sounded desperate. So she gave me his number and I gave him a call. After talking to him I found out that he was moving out of state and couldn't bring his chinchilla with him and he needed it gone. So me and Becca headed over and picked up the little girl we now call Amelia. Amelia is only about a year old from what I have been told and she, like Charlie, came with almost everything she needed, including her cage. Now I know we haven't had Amelia for very long but I have noticed she is opposite of Charley. She is very to her self, when you touch her at all she immediately starts to scratch that spot. Should I be worried about this at all? Also she has only done it once so far but when I held my hand out to her she jumped at me and bit my finger. Now it wasn't a hard bite, just an "I'm scared, stay away." type of bite. I know I should probably just give her time to get used to us for that, but none the less it made me worry a bit. Any input would be great and thanks for reading such a long post.

Some rescues come out of their shells quick, some take months or years, its just what you have to deal with when you rescue.
