War Horse ( movie )

Anyone seen War Horse? I can tell you our family went the day after Christmas and we gave it a thumbs up. My daughter is 12 and was mature enough to see the war scenes. I don't think I'd recomend it for younger children as there are some brutal war scenes.

I read the book and loved it. Will wait for the movie on DVD most likely but I can't wait for it.

I would love to see it. I'm afraid of the horse being killed, and bawling my eyes out so I am waiting for it to come out on DVD...

That's why I bought the book. I wanted to know before seeing it! ha!

I adored this movie, we went on Boxing day and found it to be a spectacular movie. I didn't find the war scenes nearly as heart-wrenching as what happens to poor Joey in the climax, that had to be one of the most brutal scenes I have ever watched.

Just read an article about the climax horse scene. It was platic barbed wire and the trainers horse. Great job by the trainer.
