visual acuity question

So Herb and Eva (the chin formerly known as Sage) apparently have a tough time seeing some things when they are bouncing around during free time and often run into things.
I couldnt really find any information online and in the bazillion videos i have seen of chinchillas at free play time, i have never seen them running into anything.
im not super worried about it at the moment, but i am curious.

When my guys were smaller and new to the cage and play area they would run into things and miss ledges and fall into hammocks etc. It was a little nerve wreaking. I remember one chin running into the wall then screaming at it as if it was the wall's fault for being there! LOL Eventually they got used to the set up and they are fine.

I used to have a really clumbsy chin as well years ago. I just made sure nothing was in his way as he was running around. Strange though he'd always miss the cage door and sit tettering on the edge (one leg in, one leg out, and you know what that got smooshed LOL). It just adds to his charm
