I love my chinchildren!
So I don't have much experience in interpreting chinchilla behavior because mine are almost always either happy or tired. I decided to try putting my chins cages next to each other today for around 20 min, and I took a couple videos of their interactions. I would like to know what those of you with intro experience think.
The baby seemed like he just really wanted to get closer to them. He wasn't lunging or anything, just trying to get as close as he could and then pop corning around like crazy.
Buddha, one of my adult pair was very calm, definitely interested in watching the baby, but not going nuts or anything. He just kept gently putting his nose through the bars to try to get a good sniff and watching.
Bubba, the other adult in the pair, was going crazy. This is the one I was unsure about and would like opinions on. He was tugging on the bars and hopping all over and smooshing himself up against the bars trying to get closer. I couldn't tell if that was excitement or aggression so I wanted a few opinions.
I am completely fine with leaving them separate, I would just love to have them all together. All i care about is that they are all happy.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
