I have this friend who is in the army, and would really like to send him something for valentines day. Any suggestions? He's only 19--if that helps? And he's stationed in South Korea so it's going to take a bit to get there.

If he is "more" then a friend you can do cute, slightly romantic things. Always do some candy, maybe a cute stuffed animal, Do a type of confetti in the box. (Not glitter or anything like that but those shaped ones, ya know?) A pair of silky boxers, a cute valentines card, A soft furry blanket (it gets REALLY cold in Korea, I've been there)

Now, if he's just a friend, someone you can be goofy with I would say candy (of course) a silly/funny valentine, some sort of character cotton boxers, Silly toys to occupy his time, the Harry Potter jelly beans if you can find them. (Those are always 100% hit as a practical joke for military people) a slinky......

I could go on and on. If you want anymore ideas, let me know. I have quite some experience with care packages. LoL

Remote controll anything. You know how boys are! Barracks are a LOT like college dorms, always full of chaos... =)
Also if there are any shipable foods from home he really enjoys, because you can't get the same food. Just don't send chocolate or anything that will melt...
Another idea is to get a bunch of his friends to write letters and send them all together.

Right now is fine for chocolate. It's really cold and snowy in Korea till mid March. But after that, nothing that can melt.

Let us know what you sent! :D

I know Beer Nuts will pay for the shipping if you buy from them to send overseas to military people. We just sent some to my cousin and they were a big hit

Thanks guys! I feel terrible about how late this is going to get to him, but it's the thought that counts, right?
