My mom wants me to ask you for ideas on what to do/get my dad for Valentines day. She just received a package of 2 dozen roses...

I thought of dinner- but we do that quite a bit and she wants to try and get some ideas for something besides that.

I'm stumped on what to get my boyfriend, but some things I've gotten him in the past:

Ipod charger/dock/FM transmitter for his car
Bluetooth usb plug for his computer (so he can get fancy crap for his computer lol)
Cologne & dressy shirts (Calvin Klein, Perry Ellis, Guess, etc.)
A suede jacket
Homemade coupons hehe
Make chocolate covered strawberries and pick up some champagne
A personalized giant chocolate-chip cookie with a cute saying (I think it was 12 inches high, and shaped into a heart)

I have more, but more importantly, what does your dad like? Electronics, cakes, candies, wine, clothes, etc.?

I've been married 16 years and I never know what to get my husband. I got him a card but I'm not sure if I'll get anything else. Might be nice to go out to dinner. He usually doesn't go overboard for me, he's never been that kind of guy :( so I usually don't feel too guilty about not doing more for him. It's so easy to shop for girls, we're happy with almost anything, from flowers to candy to jewelry, but guys are impossible. Mine wants things that are very expensive and not realistic for me to get! How about something for them to do in the bedroom (I know, eeewww, but it'll help keep the spark going!)

One thing I normally try to do when getting my fiance stuff (vday, anniversary, just because) is try to get something that the guy has wanted/needed for awhile.

I've gotten him a wallet, new slacks, etc.... lots of practical stuff that he's needed...

maybe tools? clothing he's needed to replace? Plus maybe a card and snack he likes. Cooking a fancy vday dinner is always a good way to get to a man's heart as we all know. :)

...Hope that helps...
