Ok, first off I am not looking for handouts, but rather I need to process and sell enough chewsticks ASAP to raise $1500 to rescue a lipizzan mare from going to auction. The seller said first $1000 takes her, he doesn't care that she that there are only a few thousand Lipizzans in the whole world. The other $500 would be to cover transport and vet costs. Problem is that I am leaving for Canada on Tuesday the 9th of Oct. I will be taking advance orders and then will start processing like crazy once I get home on Oct 16. It will take a few weeks as it isn't easy to process 150 lbs of chewsticks.
I also have beach rocks and driftwood for sale if anyone likes rock tumbling and using driftwocid in crafts.
I also have about a dozen shelves that are posted on another thread. Plus few other things as well.

It is complicated. Can't give anymore detail than that. But so far I am nearly half way there.

This is one reason I am not asking for donations or handouts. I want to raise the money myself and then have her either come here to me or go to a breeder who knows her personally. Then we can work on finding a new home for her if we decide not to keep her.

The fact that it is complicated is one of the reasons she needs to be bought by someone who knows and understands the breed.

He said that the auction was every Saturday. After making that comment he got a lot of negative attention and changed his mind, even denying that he had said that, but I was able to verify it in a text that he had sent me. At present I am working hard to raise the money to purchase her. I wish I could share more details but it would leave you shaking your heads.
In order to understand why I am so dedicated to raising the money to get her, just go to Youtube and watch the Disney movie Called the "Miracle of the White Stallions". The horses that were involved with this near disaster where they were literally just hours from the entire breed being totally wiped out are the ancestors of my horse and the horse that I am trying to buy.

Now I am going to ask for something. I am going to ask for all of your prayers and positive thoughts that the seller will allow my friend to go and buy her. She will be in that area, will have a trailer and the money and all she needs is his address to go and get her. Sorry for the vagueness but this is a really touchy situation and I can't take any chances.

Thankyou. I really wanted this mare a few years ago when she was for sale, but could not afford her. When she resurfaced a few months ago she was underweight and had no name. I recognized her almost immediatly, it wasn't any special markings like a pinto, it was the shape of her eyes. I just can't allow her to disappear again. One of the other horses that came from that breeder just showed up a couple of weeks ago at an auction on the east coast. There are a whole lot more that are still unaccounted for.

Appointment has been set for her to be picked up next Thursday. Please keep up the positive thoughts and prayers. My stomach will be in knots until I get word that she is safely in the trailer and on her way. She is such a pretty girl, I can't wait to finally see her. What a wondeful birthday present to me she will be.

3 MORE DAYS, or about 65 more hours until she is picked up!! My stomach is all tied up in knots worrying that something could go wrong. I can hardly wait for the phone call telling me that she is in the trailer and on her way.

Funny story. The mare's papers were never properly transferred when the breeder sold her, so after being sold a few more times her identity was lost. Because I had wanted her a few years ago I recognized her almost immediately. Her eyes have a unique shape that I remembered.
A friend of mine knows someone who knows the breeder, who lives overseas now and sent her the ad. The breeder says that she isn't the horse that I say she is but rather another one. I had to giggle because the horse that she has identified her as looks totally different, is safe and well, and listed for sale in another state. My friend said to me, that she should know better than me since she was her horse, to which I agree, but she is wrong. Yes they are both gray horses, the same age and the same height, but that is where the similarities end. They are little differences but pretty obvious. Luckily in order for lipizzan to be registered a DNA test needs to be performed and the lab still has samples of her DNA on file. We will be able to send in another sample and within a few days we will know who she is and I will be able to get her papers reissued. It will be interesting to find out if I am correct otr not.

I am so very disappointed right now! My friend was going to go and see the mare tomorrow to buy her and called today to reconfirm the appt. Seller told her that he has changed his mind and decided to keep her. I have been on the verge of tears all evening, I want to throw up. I wanted this horse three years ago, there is something special about her. I am wondering if the seller is playing games trying to get more money. I wouldn't put it past him considering the stuff he has already pulled.

As of last night he said his wife would only accept $3000 for her, do triple what he originally listed her for, because she "loves" her and doesn't want to sell her. I don't know what to believe anymore, he has told so many lies.
She is a very good quality horse, rare breed and possibly carries the gene that produces bay foals which in lipizzans is rare. Thing is that her papers are lost, but i and several others are very sure of who she is and could prove it with a DNA test.
Not sure if I should agree to pay that amount or not.

Sounds to me that you have let on how desperate you are for this horse and he feels that he "has" you where he wants you. Situations like this rarely turn out well. Just saying!

I hope that all works out for the horses bet interest.

Actually,he doesn't realize that I am a part of the equation. Someone else was going to go and make the transaction. It was a third party who contacted him and offered him $1750, but he said he would only take $3000 because his wife loves her so much.

Her best interest is my concern too. Whether I were to keep her or not would be because I want what is best for her. This man has already told me several whopping lies and that is one reason I am so concerned.
