Ugh superpet cages!

I have the super pet ferret cage that comes with the slides and stuff and i am NOT overly thrilled with it.

I took out all of the plastic except the base and modified it to my liking. The thing about it is even though it is very tall, it doesn't have enough floor and wall space. I cant fiy anything other that what i have in it (Three shelves, a hidey house, fiddle sticks, Food water hay, and a few toys) The base is 2 feet by 2 feet. I also sont like that the doors are small.

I am looking for a new cage. I am not too keen on QC cages, just not to my personal likeing. I really like the Fn, but i am not set on it. What are some other cages (not like a super pet cage) are recommended?

Have you looked at Martin's?
I believe you can also order them empty (and that's cheaper) so you can add wood shelving and such.

Do you have Fleet Farm or similar farm type store nearby? I got my cages from Fleet Farm for $50, they're a good size and comfortable for a chin or two.

They're called Havahart Small Animal Home or Havahart Pop Up Folding Animal Home

Although I haven't seen them at many other stores so perhaps you won't be able to find them locally.

They're wire bottom, which I prefer, but it does come out, but has a plastic pan which I imagine you could get a metal one and do something different with it.

Anyways, I was able to find a picture of one, mine are all coated in white though, not just the metal

They did make different sizes, and mine is actually larger than the one on that site, I don't have the exact measurements though.

I've decided that im going to go with the FN 141 because i only have one chin. That way, if i decide to get another chin in the future, i can just buy the add on after. Thanks for the help guys

What is the price difference between the 141 and 142? Is the 142 still on sale for $166? You can't beat that. I would just get a 142, and keep the bottom empty if you don't want to have to clean it for now.

Well, the FN went up to 180 and i guess another reason i am going with the 141 is because at the moment i dont have room for the 142. The 141 is 99.90 on kennelvet.

in all actuallity it works out better to get ther 142...i considered the 141 but when i compared prices it wasnt even worth it

Yes thats a good point but i cant fit the 142 anywhere right now and this is going to be an Xmas present so my mom said that if i get the 141, she'd buy me a chin spin too. My rom isnt tall enough for the 142, and she really likes my company
