It is hard to believe it is snowing hard and blowing like crazy. We have 7" already. We have no electricity (we are running our generator now) It is October, why is it snowing? A bunch of family and friends were suppose to be going to my daughter's bacherlette party tonight. She is getting married next Sat. It was called off because of the weather. We are all at our own homes feeling down. I HATE the stuff!!!

That's crazy! Its still 70-80s here, but starting to get cold at night/morning. I want winter already...but I'm nuts like that!

Barb, Im only 3 hrs away from you! Please dont send that stuff my way. We only have a light dusting. Dont want much more. Ill let you keep it..lol!

my son really wants snow, but that word is taboo here! We usually luck out, being on the coast, and don't get much snow. We have nearby mountains if I want to see the stuff! It is currently 55 degrees, but I would love javachin's temps!

Got it here, too, Barb! Talk about nuts. This makes me fear the rest of the winter, especially since I just sold my Jeep. No more 4WD for me :(

Where in central NJ are you??? Grew up around Summit/Morristown... still have lots of friends back that way.

Stay safe and warm!

We got hit pretty badly. We must have at least 12" of snow. Our netting on the peafowl pen is down, we lost 3 of our breeder peacocks due to the sudden temp change (normally they are fairly hardy... but it went from 60 to 26 in the matter of a day) . I have them locked in for the night, but that needs repaired before they are allowed back outside.

Power was out for a few hours.. Thankfully we have it back now. We were originally told it would be out until tuesday evening.

Hang in there, and I hope you guys get power back on soon!

we have up to 80 degree weather during the day.
at night though its as low as 30 burrrrr.
we did get rain the other night and we were suppose to get snow but the mountains got it instead (thank gosh).
i hate snow, that's the main reason i was happy about leaving Wisconsin. lol.

It is SOOOOO darn cold right now. I have the heat blasting but I just don't think it's enough. We got about 5 inches so I feel pretty lucky. Still put a damper on my plans for the weekend...boo! Way too early for this sort of snow...what the heck...

Still without electricity (other than generator). We have no heat - haven't figured how to hook up to generator. I have the stove on and using the fireplace (though I have very little wood right now). We have about 10" of the shi***y stuff. Chins are all cuddling

Can I just say, with feeling, better you than me? I realize we will get our fair share here soon enough, especially with the winter predictions, but for right now I'm grateful it's there.

Hang in there Barb.

Living in a place where this time of year is usually when the snow starts, I'm kind of happy that we don't have it. I know a lot of people in the Philadelphia area and in Jersey who have lost power and trees, so all of you hang in there! Snow never really causes problems here, but we're prepared for it.

It's freezing cold here, which is rare for this time of year, but thankfully no snow! We are flying to Vegas through Chicago at Thanksgiving and I am crossing my fingers we don't get snowed in there. Snow wasn't on my mind when I booked the trip back in July...now I'm thinking maybe we should have connected in Houston!

Finally have electricity - went on at 11:30 last night. The was 32 hours without heat. Everyone is fine. Schools closed because roads are still closed because of down trees

we didnt get it as bad where we were Barb but the roads were icy & lots of accidents.
i love the snow so i wasnt complaining but i do not like to be without electricity!!
glad everything is back on. you know you can call me if you ever get in a jam and need help with the chinnies. ;)
