Okay. I bought one chin about a month ago. A very beautiful **** beige! we were thinking of getting another one and I messaged the breeder i got her from to see if it was a good idea. she said she put her in with an older female and they didnt get along. and she put her in with a younger female and they didnt get along. i know how to introduce chins. (with two cages) and im just afraid , does this mean she wont get along with any chinchilla?

It's going to be a gamble, so you need to have 2 of everything (cages, water bottles, etc...) Chinchillas don't need a buddy, so you should only get the chin because YOU want another pet. Not because you feel like your chin would benefit. 3 of my 5 chins are single. They prefer human interaction rather than the companionship of another chinchilla. I've tried doing some intros, and we've had fights, toes bitten off, etc... so I won't be trying to pair them up.

brittany has it right every chin is different, if you are sure your going to get a second one atleast they would both be females. Males are more agressive towards one another and we all know what happens between a male and female chin

Ditto to all that Britt said. I have one girl that is solo. She likes being alone. My two new girls came to me already bonded. There is nothing wrong with having just one. I was a one chin home for 2 years. If you know that your girl does not do well with others, I would not take the chance.

All 5 of mine have gotten along. But aside from intro'ing the mom and daddy, the rest were family that grew up with the parents.
If shes had failed attempt introducing that female id be conserned trying again. Of course it could be that the person rly didnt no what she was doing after all in terms of proper intros. (i also wonder why try to intro them if your trying to sell them off? Socialize maybe?) Or maybe that chin truly does jsut prefere being alone.

Either way would be a gamble. Must be preparred for two sepreat living chins if you want to try.
