Just curious what material you guys generally use for the tube? Also where I could get one in Canada. ..

I assume you mean something like this.

From what ive gathered from other ppl that make them, they often can use a type of can, like a coffee can with both ends cut off and the sides filed down to make sure there are no sharp edges. (Some also use pvc. Cheaper but you rly have to watch for chewing. You dont want them chewing/ingesting pvc)

They are often covered with fleece tho. If you use fleece i would advise you to REMEMBER who you bough the tube from. Different ppl can use different sized tubes. If you need a new fleece cover, you want it specifically to your tubes dimensions. A little off can create more wrinkles and overlay. It might not seem like a big deal, but it makes it much easier for a chin to grab hold and start chewing up the fleece.

I just ordered new covers for my tube from here last week. After i got them i noticed they went on a lot easier then other ones ive had. (They can be a pain sometimes to change) She said she tried a new method. I personally loved it.

I have no idea about stores in canada or shipping to canada tho.

For the record this could be considered personal opinion.

But i never buy anything from Dr foster and smith. They claim to be vets but sell lots of products that are dangerous for chins. I left reviews on several items and food explaining the dangers of them to chins. I also answered a few questions left by other ppl. They sent me back emails saying that every single one of my responses 'did not meet there standard' and refused to post a single one. The only thing they did accept was a suggestion for another product. I find it despicable and will never buy from them again.

On topic - Cardboard tubes can work but you have to watch how your chin handles them. My chins like to not only chew or tear cardboard up, they actually like to EAT the cardboard. So i cant even use that around mine.
