As you can see I am starting alot of threads, because I have alot of questions. Another one is transportation. The breeder I am buying my chinnies from is 5 hours away. I am staying at a house close to the breeder but would a cat carrier be okay to transport the chins????

I have used a cat carrier many times with out any problems. Just be sure the chin stays nice and cool; and out of the sun during the car ride.

Yes, but you're saying "chinnies"! If there is more than 1, have they been living in the same cage? If yes, you can put them together, but if no, you could have a problem! You could ask the breeder to do the proper intros prior to picking them up!
A cat carrier depends on the size, and how may chins. Just keep the temp in the car around 70 - 75!

Yes, watch the temps and don not place the cage on the floor of the car. The heat from the road can come through the car and overheat your chinnies pretty fast.

Definitely have the AC going since it'll be hot. Be careful about placing them on the floor of the car as the floor of the car might actually be quite warm as compared to the seats. Just try not to have the AC vents blowing directly on them as that might be uncomfortable for them.

If you take a break/pit stop, make sure the AC is still running. For obvious reasons, don't leave them in your car for a quick few minutes. You can give them water bottle access during the break. A water bottle shouldn't be in the carrier/attached to the carrier, as it can leak water during the ride.

ok thanks everyone for all the help.. after i bring them home i will start a new thread telling you how it went.
