Toy suggestions?

But i'm buying a fleece tunnel, a hide with a ledge attached, a new wheel and either a hammock or a chin couch im not sure...
Now what toys do you guys suggest? As you can see so far i only really have the one...
I was thinking maybe one of those bridges i saw on here

I'm sure you have been told by several people to get rid of the wheel as they tend to not be safe, however I had the same wheel for two of my girls and they never injured themselves on it and in fact would not use other wheels I put in there for them. They eventually wore it down until it broke. I waited a month and then gave them a chin spin which they will now use despite not using it before.

Wooden shelves, kiln dried pine or often referred to as whiteboard is good for the ledges and shelves and they will also eat it so it's a good "toy". Hanging apple sticks and other chin safe woods--and yes there is a thread on chin safe woods just look for it--are also good toys. Bamboo shredders, pumice and lava bites are also things they love. Mine also love willow of all kinds. The best thing to do is look at the top of the forum where several sponsors are listed and visit their sites to see what they offer in the way of fleece items, and toys for your chin. Most likely what they have on their site is chin approved AND chin tested!

I wanna redo my whole cage like i wanna get rid of those big solid shelves and put more little perches and what not but i just cant imagine how... Its terrible being unimaginative
Oh and im getting rid of the wheel soon

Wait for your first order to arrive and you'll be able to visualize the rest of the cage once those items are placed. We can all tell you which toys our chins like best, but your chin could have different tastes. You just have to buy a few different things to see what he enjoys. As has been mentioned in several threads now, buying from sites listed on the forum is highly recommended. The quality is much better and usually cheaper too!

Yea im using sites from here i trust them more
He seems to LOVE sunflower seeds It sadens me since i cant let him have them
Beyond that all i know that he really likes book paper and he enjoys papaya sometimeshe doesnt really seem to enjoy much else

I don't think papaya is recommended (or any dried fruits) because of sugar content. If you are waiting for other toys and treats to arrive in the mail, you can purchase unsweetened shredded wheat or cheerios and old-fashioned oats at your local grocery.

Yea im gonna try cheerios and im switching foods since mine has alot of bad stuff in it like treats that arent even appropriate for chinchilla

Plain Cheerios! My chin adores the old-fashioned oats too. Definitely get some apple sticks from someone on the forum, I don't think you can go wrong with them.

Which food are you switching to?

0 switching to oxbow which im gonna buy when susan (i think that was her name) gets back from vacation
But yea i planned on buying like 2 or 3 pounds of apple sticks
And i gave him this weird like dinosaur with wheels type toy but he doesnt like it... It doesnt taste good so i dont blame him...
Im just gonna order a bunch of different toys from people on here and see what he likes
