Should I intro Inca to Smokey and Bandit? I've read a lot and I'm so on the fence. Inca and Bandit try to reach eachother through the bars of their cages and smell each other(cages are about 6 inches apart). Smokey shows no real interest in Inca. I feel kinda bad that Inca sees the 2 snuggling and he's all alone. Should I give it a try or just leave well enough alone????? :hair:

That's up to you if you want to take the risk. It is very possible that introducing a new chinchilla to an already bonded pair can break the pair up and you'll have 3 singles. It's happened to me more than once. Also, none of my trios have worked out. One lasted almost a year, another lasted a couple months before there started being aggression issues.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do. I am still to much of a chicken to try to introduce Delilah and Maizy, lol

If you're going to do it, sooner would be better than later, while they are still pretty young. I've had the best luck introducing babies to adults.

Decided its not worth the risk! Inca will just get Xtra loves from mommy! Might get Inca a baby someday down the road!
