So What toys and/or exercise equipment would you suggest having. I have wooden blocks, but is it better for them to be uncolored, a chinchilla ball, and really nothing else. Would it be a good idea to get my chinchilla a wheel?

By a ball, do you mean a runabout ball? If so, their nickname is "death ball" with good reason. They are totally unsafe for a chinchilla. Chins don't run, they hop, and the heat and humidity in the ball when they are closed up can be deadly.

Most pet owners have wheels for their chins and the chins really enjoy it, especially those who don't get as much outside of the cage time as the owner would want.

For other ideas, check the classified section here. There are all kinds of different advertisers with toys, loofah, hammocks, etc., to make life more fun for your chin.

i second what Tunes said, check out the classifieds here to find great safe toys for your chin. we have quite a few members that make toys, bridges, shelves, houses, and fleece items.

toss out the ball right away, they are very dangerous for chins.

for a wheel, i would recommend the chin spin, flying saucer (metal one, not plastic!), or the silver surfer. all three are large enough and are safe.

My chins love their wood toys, wheel, ledges, tube...and each other!
Do you get your chin out for free time a lot?
