That video is too cute! I have a 2 year old doberman who is the most gentle creature with my children, with cats, and with kittens. Dobermans have a bad reputation that simply is not true. I also grew up with a dobie which is why I have another one now. I wouldn't let him lick my baby, though...dog germs!

I actually thought of your guy sprawled out on the sofa with all fours in the air when I first saw that video. 
I learned to walk clinging to the side of my grandmother's great pyr/golden retriever mix. The idea that you "have to get rid of your pets" when a baby joins the family is just idiotic to me, and that vid is a prime example of why.

Very cute video. I have only known a handful of Dobes and Rotts and every one of them was friendly, obedient and outright wonderful dogs. One Rott I 'babysat' for a year while a friend got divorced and got back on her feet. She was a wonderful dog with my children.........just a little LARGE for my taste in dogs. LOL
