So, I maybe over reacting, but I'd rather over react then to find something wrong. Today Flynn has been eating yes, but he's been in the corner on the top shelf next to the dust bath, just sitting there. Ears flat against his head and scrunched down so that he looks like a ball. Is he ok? I don't think he's drinking his water, so should I change it just in case he's dehydrating? I have the AC running so it's getting cold down there, and he moves into my hand when I reach to pet him, sniffing my fingers. Is he just tired?

around maybe 76/78 which is why i turned on a AC and the fan to circulate the air from the AC. I have a frozen can in the freezer, I'm going to check on him soon to make sure he's ok. I don't know if I woke him up or what.

do what you can to cool him down. im not going to give you more advice because im not experienced enough to do so. i'll leave that to the more experienced members. there might not be anything wrong with him, he might just be tired. or it could be something more. since you said hes not drinking his water you should make sure his water bottle is working also.

Checked the water bottle, i play with little ball and water is coming out. Apparently the previous owner may not have cleaned it so it was green at the top, i tried my best to clean that. I placed Flynn under a can of frozen cheese/broccoli soup, and he's hoping around. I'm happy I checked, who knows what would have happened. I'm going to keep checking on him, see if it changes, see if i need to bring the can back out.

Relax. He is fine. While 78 isn't the most ideal temp, it isn't sweltering. My chins sit in that position sometimes. Especially if I wake them up. Once you get used to having a chin around I think you will understand their habits and be less worried.

Thank yo uvery much :D i checked the thermometer down stairs and it said 84 in the room. I don't think thats right, it's 83 in our bedroom and significantly cooler down stairs. I think my thermometer is broken.

I think it may be too, but if you have a high humidity rate in the house, that could account for the differences. Is the thermometer digital or analog? I suggest getting a digital, as they are a bit more accurate, if you do not already have one.

Zoe often scrunches herself into the top corner of her cage when she wants to be left alone, is tired, or is hot. As time goes by, you will get to him better and learn what his mannerisms and his oddities are and what they mean. :)

Humidity has Nothing to do with the temperture reading. Humidity only effects how a room feels not the temperature reading. If a room is 75 degrees is is 75 with 80% humidity or 20% humidity.

well, in truth, i was stupid and used a downloaded one, apparently It only reads out side. I'm going to try and get a digital one. $15 at Target ^_^

A Downloaded one? Like IN the computer?? Like from a weather site? How would you think a "thermometer" IN the computer will tell you the temp in the house?

Trust me, I was loopy that day, very happy and didn't really think of much I was doing. I thought frankly that the cell phone had a censor that could tell. Would explain how the temperature out side changes when you move to certain places. Yes, I do see that I'm stupid and I'm very very very sorry. It won't happen again, I promise.
