Well Carol and I are doing it next August! Yep she's been wanting too for quite some time and I have also wanted to do it. We have such a great reason now, to celebrate the life of my beautiful sister, Lisa, who passed away exactly one month today from triple negative breast cancer.

So I really have to get in shape now! And what a better reason to do just that! I'm already down 26lbs since the beginning of June so now I'm amping it up even more. I'm going to follow low carb, low fat as much as possible and start walking my butt off! I know I need to add some cardio and weight lifting at some point, but being as heavy as I am I think that's going to have to wait until at least 30 more lbs or so.

When I make it to 50lbs lost I'm going to look into joining a gym and see what George-Barry--Sandi's wonderful husband might suggest for an old hag like me!

But here it is folks! The gauntlet is thrown! It's in Chicago next August, if any of you want to join Carol and I just let us know!

I only wish I could come too! I'm sure it will be awesome good fun.

Best of wishes with the weight loss...keep me posted on your progress!

That is so cool! Best of luck with the weight loss, I know how hard it is :)).

Laurie, I know that if you have your mind on something you go *balls* out to get it done and I will be :cheer: you & Carol all the way! Wow, 26 lbs already is amazing, you go girl! I think its great that you start with walking and Barry is already working on a program for you ;) oops, I mean George-Barry. It's wonderful to honor your sister or loved one in such a way that it helps you as well.

I am so excited, Laurie. I've been wanting to do this 3 day for many years now. I hope it will be an experience that will change our lives and hopefully the lives for many women with breast cancer. I also hope to make some new lifelong friends during this very bonding experience.

I AM SO EXCITED. Thanks Laurie, and (looking up) love you, Lisa. This one's for YOU.

Best of luck ladies! Such a wonderful cause and what a great experience that will be!

Woohoo!!! I am so excited for you! I can't make it to walk with you but I will be thinking of you when I do the short walk here in Cali! :)

Wow how exciting! How awesome for you guys. Don't forget to bring a camera (write it down on your calendar, lol). :D

AWESOME! We'd love to have you join us. :woohoo: :apple:

I am so excited about this. I have been wanting to do this for years but never had anyone to join me. I have been bike riding and walking to lose some weight and get in shape. By next August I am going to look like this...................

Okay, maybe not, but I'll certainly be prepared to walk 60 miles in three days.
