In middle/high school my boyfriend was friends with a guy named Chris Weaver. Chris had a chinchilla and my boyfriend always thought it was pretty cool. My boyfriend and I started dating a few years out of high school and he told me about how he wanted a chinchilla after seeing his friend's. So for our 1 year anniversary, I got him Chilli our first chinchilla. Chris Weaver was killed in Iraq in 2005 during the “Ambush at the River of Secrets.” And on this Memorial Day I would like to thank CPL Chris Weaver for not only serving our country but also for bringing chinchillas into my life, words can do no justice for my appreciation for his sacrifice or for bringing these wonderful critters into my life.
