Swollen nose

Hi,

A few days ago, my chin went to the vet for a molar trim. When I picked him up, his nose was pretty swollen, which I presumed was a side effect of the procedure/ having his mouth and nose are messed with. He is currently on meloxicam for pain and swelling and bactrim, the antibiotic both of which the vet prescribed for several days after the procedure. The swelling is going down now, but as it does he's having some discharge out of one nostril. He's eating, drinking, and playing enthusiastically as ever, he just sometimes paws at that nostril.

Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone know what might be going on?

That is not a normal issue from a trim, sounds like there might have been a injury at the vets office during the procedure, some chins get freaky and come out of the anesthesia quick, they can get injured then.
