Pro Cage Cleaner Champion
This is my Annie. She's a little over three months old now. I have her in a colony cage with two other girls, Tristane and Cherry. Annie is the glue that holds their relationship together. She is the peacemaker and the one with all the charisma that keeps the group of girls focused on their goal of completely taking up all my time and attention. (Only Jack exerts more energy into making me hold him and take him out of his cage.)
She's a sort of medium light ebony...and the center of attention in even the pictures! Cherry is the pink white that didn't want anything to do with the camera. Tristane is a tan...she hangs back behind Annie all the time because Annie is her boss.
Annie was born completely normal and was normal weight then. However, she didn't grow for weeks and weeks. I don't know why, she was drinking milk and eating and being cared for very well by her mama. She just stayed tiny for so long. It's only been the last three weeks that she's actually grown much at all and that's since she's been weaned. I thought in the first month of her life that she wasn't going to make it because she wasn't growing...but that personality and that drive to get what she wants all the time kept her going!
It's funny...her parents are some of the largest chins that I have here. Cartman is hugemongous...and Cheree is a big, porky thing with a personality that just wants to sit and chew on sticks. I can pick her up with one hand, put her on my shoulder and she won't move for hours. We're talking big lazy chins! Yet they had a teeny little thing like Annie. Maybe she'll hit a growth spurt later on. I'm just amazed that she is alive considering that she didn't gain any weight after her birth for weeks.
