Surprise baby.

Hello all!

A few hours ago I walked past my chins cage and did a double take at the sight of a kit in there.
I had only bought this one 2 months ago and had no idea she was pregnant- any advice on how best to care for them untill kit is weaned would be very welcome!

First thing is you need to make the cage baby proof, those lil buggers will get out and freeze/starve in no time. Congratulations, keep a eye out for more kits or a struggling mom with labor problems. Let us know how they are doing

I have no advice but I just had to say this happened to me with my first set of chins years ago. They had been abandoned b/c their original owner had wanted them for breeding and the hadn't produced a baby. A couple of months after I had them I went to feed them and "hello!" I knew nothing about baby chins... I thought a mouse got into their cage for a minute :err:

My little family lived happily ever after for a loooong time after that.
