I know, it sounds gross. LOL!

I would like to lose the baby "flab" that I currently have. I was told crunches would work, but will take any other suggestions that come my way.

Basically, if anyone has seen the show "Surviving twins and sextuplets" (Jon and Kate) and has seen her belly post babies, that's what my belly kind of looks like. Not too pleasing to look at.

I would like to lose it in a decent amount of time, but not too fast. I want to look decent for my friend's wedding in September.

Thanks for any help!

My two suggestions:

Cardio is the only way to burn the extra cushioning we get that seems to collect in certain spots! Got to get the heart rate up. . . .

Check out 50millionpounds.com - it's a really great free and practical menu plan way to eat. The basic idea of it is 4 small meals & two snacks. Keeps the blood sugar up and cravings down.

I like the excercises videos on realage.com they have 3 levels and they are simple. My problem isn't my weight or the fat, it is the muscles don't hold things where they should be, especially after a cesarian. I've been doing the beginners for about 2 weeks and have notice that things are moving back where they should be and am about to move up to the intermediate.

I am on the thin side and gained 50 pounds with each birth - 2 boys. I was a long term nurser and I lost weight very quickly. But I don't have the same stomach I had before children and I am about 10 pounds heavier. I stay active but the problem is the skin stretches with pregnancy and doesn't shrink back to its prepregnancy size. Overweight people who lose the weight have the same problem. I have yet to figure out how to get rid of that last bit of flab. I have seen shows that say all the crunches in the world don't help. But if you happen to find a successful way to lose it, let me know! I wouldn't change my decision to have kids for anything, but I sure hate what it did to my stomach!!!

If you chose to breastfeed you more than likely will lose a TON if you are watching what you are eating & trying to work out when you can as well. After i had kaiden i was mean to myself & tried on a pair of jeans that i wore pre baby.. Couldnt get them past my bum. haha After two weeks i decided to try again & they were lose on me, so THAT does work & i will b/f all my other future children for that reason. haha

I was a size 2 before kaiden & gained around 50 with him, also take into consideration im only 5 foot.. YIKES! hehe

Ive also had a hard time not so much losing the weight, but getting my tone back. Everyone tells me i have to do crunches, etc, but i really dont think it will all be helped without a surgical procedure. I asked my doc about it & obviously she agreed that it would be pretty hard & kinda unlikely to have my pre baby body 100% as it was, even with lots of harsh workouts & eating right.

Ive kinda come to peace with it all. lol As Jen said, i wouldnt give up my child or future children for anything. Every stretch mark is a reminder of my love for my family. (hahah even though i can kiss the two piece swim suit days goodbye forever.) I suppose im getting too old for that anyways.=]

Now if you have any tips for dark circles i'd be more than happy to try some of that advice too! lol

AHHHHH Ok.....I got pregnant with my daughter when I was 19 and had her when I was 20 for some crazy reason, I gained almost 100 lbs when I was pregnant even though I could not hold any food down to save my life. I quickly lost the "water" weight but not the excess baby weight. It took me 5 years to start really losing the weight. I finally got down to a size 6 and within 6 months of putting those on...BAM i was prenant with my son :( I again gained almost 100lbs with him even though nothing I ate stayed down :( Even after losing all that weight from having my daughter, my stomach was never back to flat. Now I'm still struggling with losing the baby weight from having Jason and he is 4 years old now.

I think everyone is different. Some people just lose it fast and some people have to REALLY work hard at it. I've tried everything since he was born and nothing has worked. Now its just starting to come off....finally! I guess it will take about another year just like it did when I started finally losing it after my daughter was born. Ive finally kinda come to terms with it and can handle waiting and I know that my stomach will never be flat after 2 100 pound weight gains with 2 pregnancies and 2 c-sections (vertical..ahhhh) plus 2 miscarriages after my son.

Everyone has different types of skin.....your skin either has a good amount of elasticity and can be stretched and go back quick or it does not...Mine does not LOL I got stretch marks gallore. I honestly do not think cocoa butter works cause I used it during my first pregnancy like mad and I still got stretch marks.

My mom on the other hand....when she was pregnant with me it was the EXACT same scenario..but she gained 120 lbs (started at a size 3) and within 9 weeks...POOF GONE and back to size 3! Go figure! I guess I got my dads skin or something :(

I have found NOTHING to get rid of the flab, short of surgery. I also had 3 kids back to back to back (they are all like 2 years apart give or take a week, all 3 had the same due date) not to mention my last 2 were c-sections and I gained 60 lbs with my last baby.

Just wear it proudly is all I can suggest.

I couldnt agree more! lol I started using the coca butter the day i found out up to the last few days. I didnt get them terrible, but i do have a few, unfortunately!

I also used a TON of baby oil & soaked in a bath with that at LEAST weekly. Still got them, i dont think its so much the oils or lotions that do much, its the persons body type in general & genetics that is what REALLY helps.

Check out crossfit.com. It is a fun, very hard way to work out. Everyday they post the workout of the day (WOD). I did this this fall and lost the last of the baby weight I gained, I actually weigh 4 lbs less than I did pre pregnancy, and I gave birth 11 months ago. I would still do the workouts right now but I am going through shift changes at work, once things are back on normal rotation I will be able to work out again.

On crossfit there are certain exercises, routines etc.. that I don't have the equipment for so I substitute a different workout on those days. I don't have rings, so I can't do those, but I can do dips, or modified dips, or I can do push-ups.

Good luck!

LOL tried all that too :( nothing :( By the time I had Solana it looked like a kid took a purple magic marker and drew vertilcal lines on my stomach ROFL (I can laugh about it now....then I could not) they luckily have faded for the most part :)

As far as that little pouch some people get on the lower abdomen that is basically just extra skin....there is virtually no way to work that off....even a good dr will tell you. Some women don't have it at all...some are a little lucky and its very small, and some have it bad LOL IMO its just part of having kids. Battle scars so to speak :)

Try checking out yoga/pilates studios, a lot of them have postnatal classes that you can often bring your baby to, so theres no need for child care, you bond with baby, and they're GREAT for your abs.

The Wii fit is also a good way to help get yourself more excited about doing some working out. We got one & it really does get you going enough to shed some pounds, plus it gives you tips, tells your weight, etc.

Im not good with doing things on a schedule, so i do miss my times "playing," but its far more enjoyable than just lame crunches...
