Sudden change of behaviour

My chin has been acting weirdly towards me since last night. After i took him out and let him jump around in my room. I wanted to hear how a chinchilla barks, so i was playing some clips from youtube not very far from chin chin's cage. And he reacted to the sounds. His ears pointed up wards and immediatly behaved panickly. Eversince this happened he refuses to kiss me which he usually does and welcome me most of the time. He even stopped letting me give him his chin scratchies. What is wrong? Has he lost his trust in me? And irs been a whole day since i was out and still he practically ignores me. When i back off he will look at me. I left the cage open for about 20 mins and he didnt even step out of the cage. What does all this mean? Thks ppl.

Like Lauralynne said, just leave him be and give him time. You may have to win his trust all over again.

When you played the barks, all he heard was another chinchilla giving a warning call. You were the only thing in the room he could associate the danger with, so it may take time for him trust you and to find the area safe again.
