I keep reading that stretching can be a sign of bloat. But is it ever a normal thing to do? I keep seeing our little girl stretch. No changes to diet, pooping, drinking, eating as normal. And just as active during chinchilla go crazy times!

Sadly no embarrassment or sheepish icons!

if my little one was sitting for a while she will stretch like a cat for a bit, same as you healthy as ever and super energetic.

my Guss is the stretcher out of my two boys. he'll wake up in his hammock and either stretch up the cage bars or stretch across his shelf, as far and taut as he can. i swear i saw him do a yawn and stretch one day, lol. Rhino does the occasional stretch, but not nearly as often or with such theatrics as Guss.

as long as it isn't constant stretching, their food intake and poop output is normal, and they are not bloated at all, or lethargic, i would not be worried.
